Elevate your next homemade pizza night with our signature P&C tradition. This steak and mushroom pizza with caramelized shallots pairs perfectly with a bold Grand Fashioned cocktail.
We’re back with the second installment of P&C Night — our weekly tradition of Pizza & Cocktails. What started as a simple way to make Friday nights feel special has quickly become a ritual we look forward to all week. Each week, we explore new flavor pairings and craft cocktails to match, creating a laid-back but elevated dining experience right at home. This week’s combo might just be a new favorite.

🍕 Steak, Mushroom & Caramelized Shallot Pizza
This homemade pizza recipe is a total flavor bomb. It’s rich, hearty, and just the right amount of indulgent. Here’s what makes it special:
Juicy seared steak – Cooked medium rare and sliced thin for that perfect bite.
Buttery mushrooms – Sautéed until golden and full of umami.
Caramelized shallots – Slow-cooked for depth and a touch of sweetness that brings balance to every slice.
Mozzarella cheese – Melts beautifully to tie everything together.
Crispy homemade crust – Thin, golden, and slightly chewy. The perfect base for bold toppings.
The steak and mushrooms make for a meaty, earthy combo that’s hard to beat, and the caramelized shallots add an unexpected sweetness that elevates the whole pie. This pizza tastes like something you'd order from a trendy wood-fired spot—but it's even better because you made it at home.

🥃 The Grand Fashioned Cocktail
To pair with the bold flavors of the pizza, we mixed up a Grand Fashioned — our twist on the classic Old Fashioned. The addition of Grand Marnier adds a subtle orange warmth that complements the maple syrup and ties the whole drink together.
Ingredients:
2 oz Rye Whiskey
½ oz Grand Marnier
¼ oz Maple Syrup
2 dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
Luxardo Maraschino Cherry, for garnish
Instructions:Stir all ingredients with ice until well chilled, then strain into a rocks glass over a large cube. Garnish with a cherry—or two, if you’re feeling generous.
This cocktail is smooth, rich, and lightly spiced, making it the ideal companion for our decadent pizza night.
Looking Ahead: Pizza & Champagne
We’re already dreaming up the next round of P&C Night — and we’re thinking something bubbly. Stay tuned for Pizza & Champagne next week. Because every Friday deserves a little something extra.
