Fall Layers & Classic Looks: My Go-To Season for Style Part 1

Well, like most people, fall is one of my favorite seasons. Sure, the cooler weather, football weekends, and postseason baseball all play a part — but mostly, it’s about finally getting to wear those layered looks again.
When the temps drop, I keep things simple: clean denim, a good pair of boots or sneakers, and a classic jacket or sweater. And when it comes to footwear, desert boots are truly the best of the best for fall. You can never go wrong with a great pair — they strike that perfect balance between casual and refined, working effortlessly with just about any outfit.
As for the finishing touch, it’s usually a watch that ties everything together. My go-to is the Tudor Black Bay 36 — that black dial just pairs perfectly with fall colors and layered outfits. But I also have a soft spot for my white dial TAG Heuer Pro 2000. It has a lighter, sportier look that contrasts nicely with the season’s deeper tones.
Both fit the mood of fall in their own way — the Tudor with its understated, classic feel, and the TAG with its clean, crisp look. I usually find myself leaning toward the Tudor, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with either.
Fall might be fleeting, but great style — and a great pair of desert boots — never goes out of season.
Yes, I know, I need to take better pics - still working on that!
